Dave Davidson with Gregg Isett
Dave has been a dedicated member of the Music Exchange Program and prior to that, was a regular member of our previous Music For Life program. Dave is a satisfied repeat customer.
I am a Veteran, having served my country with the U.S. Army Military Police during war and peace. Retired from the U.S. Defense Department traveling the world.
For the past ten years, I have served as a member of the Placer County Sheriff's Department Volunteer Mobile Unit.
My main goal is still Music and to become a better organist. With instructors like Karen and Gregg, the learning is fun. They are the best.
Millie and Dick Anderson
Millie and Dick Anderson have their roots in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (“Yooperland”). Dick’s dad was a member of the US Coast Guard and Dick grew up on the Wisconsin waters of Lake Michigan. He moved to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula when his father was transferred to a Lighthouse Station on the shores of Lake Superior. It was there that he met Millie while in high school.
The aviation bug bit Dick and he joined the USAF Aviation Cadet Pilot Training Program and received his pilot’s wings and a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. It was then that he and Millie got married and spent a career together in the USAF, retiring as a major.
Dick continued his education while in the USAF and earned a BSE in Science Engineering and Meteorology and ultimately a Masters Degree in Public Administration. He served duty in the Vietnam War as a pilot of cargo transport airplanes and as a meteorologist. He flew over 6,000 hours in a variety of piston and jet powered airplanes.
They had three children, two boys and a girl. After retiring from the USAF, both Millie and Dick worked for the State of California, Millie as an Executive Secretary, and Dick as a Staff Services Manager.
Dick’s background in music started when he learned to play the alto-saxophone while in eighth grade and that continued through his high school years where he played in the school band. Millie had a short experience with the violin while in junior high school. Dick’s interest in music led him to enjoy organ music and eventually he purchased a Hammond Organ and self-taught himself how to play the instrument. Their daughter also took interest in the organ and took lessons and became an accomplished organist. Dick gave the organ to his daughter when she left home and was out of the “music business” so to speak, for a good number of years. His love for the instrument ultimately led him to purchase another organ several years ago. He interested a couple from their church in organ music, and they purchased an organ and started taking lessons at the Music Exchange. They in turn led Dick to the Music Exchange program in Newcastle.
Millie has become Dick’s partner in music and serves as Dick’s “page turner” and accompanies him to the weekly music lessons. They purchased a Roland AT90SL American Classic organ in 2006 and continue to enjoy the remarkable music sounds of this fabulous instrument.
Dick plays the organ when company stops by at their home and he always enjoys playing a song for the “Rug Rat” members at the “Chicken Club” events.
Sandra and Richard Pugh
Sandra was born and raised in San Francisco. She worked as a manufacturers representative for 35 years, travelling throughout northern California and Nevada.
She has two children and three grandchildren. Her interest in piano started a year ago when she was introduced to playing the Clavinova through classes here in Music Exchange. Her other hobbies consist of travelling, painting and home decor.
Richard is a native of New York City and came to Cupertino, California in1963 to teach in the elementary and junior high schools there.
He has a son and a daughter and four grandchildren. He has had a lifelong interest in music, learning to play the ukulele and guitar in high school. He dabbled in the piano over the years, but never really took it seriously until he married Sandra in 2006 and started lessons in Newcastle. Since then it has become a very large part of his life.
Richard has a deep interest in collecting minerals and introducing this hobby to his grandchildren and step grandchildren. He spends much time on his computer, uploading videos to YouTube. He is currently webmaster of Music in Newcastle.
Sandra and Richard married in 2006. Since then, they have travelled extensively and look forward to the Branson trip. They are now the proud owners of the new Roland AT 900. Sun City, Roseville is their home.
I come from Fremont, CA.. I began my music studies playing the accordion at age seven. I then went on to play the alto saxophone, piano, and bassoon in school. I played in the San Jose Junior Symphony and San Francisco Recreational Symphony, playing the bassoon. I entered San Francisco State College on a bassoon scholarship and majored in music, but graduated after playing a piano recital to complete graduation requirements.
After graduating from San Francisco State College with a music teaching credential, there were no music teaching positions for beginning teachers, in California, so I continued my education, studying horticulture and floral design, and began teaching horticulture and floral design at City College of San Francisco. While teaching horticulture and floral design at City College of San Francisco, I had no time for music, so I did not have any music in my life during my working years. I met and married Aldo Alberigi in 1977, and we retired in 1980.
I purchased my first organ, a Thomas organ from Glenn Gray at the then Piano Organ Warehouse, Santa Rosa (which is now Music Exchange) in 1979, but didn’t take lessons until I met Stan Koyama at Asilomar in 1993. I took lessons from Stan for 10 years, before he moved to Florida.

I was born and raised in Georgia. Married and moved to California in 1956. I have three beautiful daughters (who also live in CA.), three wonderful sons-in-law and 8 delightful grandchildren.
Having mostly worked my way out of my job as a stay-at-home mom, I became a working mom when, in 1981, Gus Pearson opened his piano and organ store, Keyboards Etc., in Auburn. I was one of the 8 charter members of the Keyboards, Etc. Organ Club.
In late 2003, after 32 years of ranching/farming on my "Rancho Not So Grande" (20 acres) outside Auburn, I sold out and moved to my "Playhouse" in Lincoln Hills. Tom and I have been playing ever since. We've traveled to all 50 states (48 of them by car). We are also enjoying playing on our new Roland AT900.
